Red Panda 1B. Description of the board.

We would like to introduce our Xilinx Artix 7 Development Board/Carrier Board with Nvidia Jetson SoM. This solution is unique in the Development Board market. With this solution, you can quickly run Artificial Intelligence (AI) and solve software problems in real time on the FPGA. You also get top performance for Industrial Automation, Robotics and more.

The board consists of two main parts. The first part is this carrier board with Xilinx Artix 7. Main hardware nodes:

  • PCIe x4 that connects to Nvidia Jetson;
  • USB debug FT230XQ-R on Nvidia Jetson side connected to FPGA. You can easily reprogram the FPGA from the Nvidia Jetson side;
  • JTAG port for connecting a debugger;
  • 3 gigabyte physics, KSZ9031RNXI on the FPGA side. To implement EtherCAT, Profinet IRT, etc.;
  • DDR3L (AS4C128M8D3LB-12BIN), for those who would like to run Linux and not only on the FPGA side;
  • Flash memory of 128 Mb is suitable for different firmware complexity;
  • 24 GPIO ports for connecting peripherals, and among them 16 analog ports (8 pairs);

The second part is the main nodes of Nvidia Jetson:

  • Jetson Nano/Xavier NX/TX2 NX SO-DIMM connector and support;
  • 1 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 connector on Nvidia Jetson side;
  • Micro USB debug connector;
  • USB Type C port;
  • USB OTG port;
  • Mini HDMI video output interface;
  • Mini DisplayPort video output interface;
  • 4 MIPI CSI camera interfaces;
  • RTC battery backup;
  • User buttons;
  • EEPROM for storing board ID;
  • Voltage in the 8-36VDC range can power the board. It is recommended to use a 12V 2A DC supply to power the board;
